Melissa Perlman

Melissa Perlman is a seasoned communications executive with more than 22 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and writing. In 2011, she founded BlueIvy Communications, a leading South Florida PR and communications firm with offices in West Palm Beach and Delray Beach. The firm is known for delivering high-impact storytelling, strategic media relations, and brand positioning for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Prior to launching BlueIvy, Melissa spent seven years in Corporate Communications at Office Depot’s global headquarters, following several years working at television stations in New York and throughout New England. She holds a B.A. in Expository Writing from Brown University.

Melissa currently serves as Co-President of the Gold Coast Public Relations Council (GCPRC), South Florida’s largest independent organization for PR, marketing, and communications professionals—a role she has held previously. She also serves as a Voting Board Member for Maccabi USA (MUSA), a nonprofit dedicated to enriching Jewish lives through athletic, cultural, and educational programs. In addition, she served as Commissioner of the Maccabi USA Endurance Team at the Maccabiah World Games in Israel in both 2022 and 2025.

A competitive runner, Melissa has represented Team USA in the World Maccabiah Games in Israel four times (1997, 2013, 2017, 2022), twice in Europe (Berlin 2015; Budapest 2019), and once in South America (Buenos Aires 2021)—earning a medal at every competition. She holds a marathon personal best of 2:41, competed in the professional field of the 2025 Boston Marathon, and is currently pursuing a qualifying time for the 2028 Olympic Marathon Trials.
