Founder and President Melissa Perlman has been at the helm of BlueIvy for over 10 years. Prior to launching the company in 2011, Melissa spent seven years in the Corporate Communications department at Office Depot’s Global Headquarters. She is a graduate of Brown University with a B.A. degree in Expository Writing. She spent her final years of college, writing and producing for various television and print media outlets in New York City, New England and South Florida. Today, Melissa has turned BlueIvy into one of the most respected public relations and communications agencies in Florida.

Melissa is the President of the Gold Coast Public Relations Council (GCPRC), South Florida’s largest independent group of PR, marketing and communications professionals. She has been recognized twice by PRNews, the premiere magazine in the public relations industry, as one of the Top 15 PR Professionals to watch (nationally). She was named one of South Florida Business Journal’s esteemed 40 Under 40 in 2021; celebrated by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine as a 2017 Up & Comer; Boca Life Magazine as one of the publication’s 2014 40 Under 40; and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel as a professional who contributes significantly to both their organization and community as part of the publication’s inaugural 2012 Top Workplaces Awards.
Melissa resides in Delray Beach, Florida. She has represented Team USA in the Maccabi Games in Israel three times (1997, 2013, 2017) and twice in Europe (2015, 2019). Melissa is currently Chair of all Endurance Sports for Team USA heading to the World Maccabi in 2022. She is also a Board Member of Maccabi USA, a founding member of the Maccabi USA Future Leaders Forum, and sits on the Friends of Brown Track & Field Executive Board. Melissa is a competitive marathon runner with goals of qualifying for the 2024 USA Olympic Trials.
